Abstract

474,211. Hair - - drying apparatus. GYRATH, J. H. April 8, 1937, No. 10050. [Class 81 (ii)] [Also in Group XIV] An apparatus for use in a hair-waving process consisting in applying hot air to waved and moistened hair, comprises a cap 1 having an extension 2 which fits closely around the head to form an airtight enclosure. The cap is suspended by a strap 3 and a pulley, and is provided with connections 4 for admitting hot air, a thermometer 5, a pressure gauge 6 and devices 7 for controlling the temperature, pressure and the direction of the hot air which escapes through openings near the closing edge of the extension 2.
