Abstract

Readily soluble salts of 9-amino- and 9-alkylaminoacridines and their nuclear substitution products are prepared by neutralizing the bases by means of an alkylsulphonic acid or by double decomposition of salts of the said acridine compounds with salts of alkylsulphonic acids. Reference is made to the neutralization of 2-ethoxy-6.9-diaminoacridine with methanesulphonic acid in alcoholic solution and to the similar production of 2-ethoxy-9-ethylaminoacridine or 2-ethoxy-9-butylaminoacridine salts with methanesulphonic acid. Specification 452,805 is referred to.
