468,996. Calculating - apparatus. OSAKEYHTIO PHYSICA AKTIEBOLAG, and TERA, M. Oct. 9, 1936, No. 27432. [Class 106 (i)] Gunnery calculators.-A device for use in determining the corrections for the influence of the various disturbing factors in artillery firing comprises a slide rule on the stock of which are scales representing the range and other factors to be determined and on the slide are different groups of curves representing the various corrections to be applied, the readings being effected with the aid of a cursor slidable on the stock. As shown, the stationary part of the rule 1 is provided with scales 7 to 12 representing terminal velocity, height of trajectory, the time of flight, primary range, angle of elevation, and deviation due to drift respectively. On the slide 2 are marked groups of curves which as shown represent the topographical angle of the target with respect to the gun, initial speed of projectile, variations in atmospheric pressure, temperature, head or following winds, and side winds. The O-axis of these curves is at rightangles to the direction of movement of the slide. The cursor 3 is formed with a transverse hair line 5 and carries an additional cursor 4 with a longitudinal hair line 6.
