464,440. Coin freed apparatus for delivering strip tickets. SCHNEIDER, R., and WESTINGHOUSE TICKET MACHINE CO., Ltd. Oct. 18, 1935, No. 28869. [Class 27] [Also in Group XIX] In coin-freed automatic machines wherein a ticket is cut by a knife 4 from a strip 3 and delivered through a slot 5, means are provided for obviating trouble arising when the ticket 3a is prevented in any way from being projected through the delivery slot. When the ticket is thus obstructed, a convex support 7 causes the ticket to be bowed and engage the concave underside of a guide member 10, which is consequently moved upwards, carrying with it a lower guide member 9 against the action of a spring 17. Pivoted levers 12, 11 connected by a link 15 carry the members 9, 10, the link 12 being shorter than the link 11 so that the members 9, 10 are caused to approach one another during their upward movement to form a thin curved channel preserving the shape of the ticket. When the slot 5 is free again, the spring 17 restores the parts 9, 10 and the ticket is projected from the slot. Coin-slit closing-devices-To prevent further operation of the machine when the parts 9, 10 have been moved to the upper position, one of these parts may operate contacts included in the energizing circuit of an electrically actuated device controlling the closure of the coin insertion slot.
