Abstract

A lustre material for producing decorative surfaces is applied between or as part of ground coats, design traceries, or finishing coats of lacquer and comprises comminuted fishscale, mercurous, stannous, bismuth or antimony chloride, lead or other iodides, barium hyposulphite, or other salts, together with microscopic crystals of metallic salts, or metal or mica flakes suspended in a nitrocellulose lacquer which may contain transparent dyes.
