Abstract
463,375. Clockwork mechanism. JUNGHANS, H., and JUNGHANS AKT.- GES., GEB. July 28, 1936, No. 20880. [Class 139] In a balance spring arrangement for clockwork mechanisms, the balance spring c is fitted with slight preliminary flexure in such manner that it always moves the anchor a, when no driving force is acting on the escape wheel b, into a middle position relatively to this wheel. The Figure shows the anchor in such central position with the tooth Z of the undriven escape wheel b resting against the pallet PA. When power is applied to wheel b, the anchor will be rocked counterclockwise, additionally stressing the left half of spring c. Thereafter, the halves of the spring c are additionally stressed alternately.
