Abstract

462,592. Finger rings. SCHARFMAN, H. H., and KAMEN, M. Aug. 7, 1935, No. 22323. [Class 43] A finger ring made from a block 2 of resinous pyroxylin or phenolic condensation products has pieces 6, 7, 8, 9 of the same material cemented to opposite faces thereof to form an enlarged seat for supporting a decorative unit comprising layers 11, 12, 13 of contrasting coloured material, a photograph, emblem, initial &c. 14 and a protective covering 15 of glass or pyroxylin composition product. Pieces of cardboard 4, 5 may be interposed between the ledge portions 6, 7, 8, 9, and the finger band and the laminated portion of the decorative unit may be replaced by a single layer of paper board &c. The constituent parts are secured together by cement and the ring finally shaped and polished.
