Abstract

462.466. Aerials. CASTLE FUSE & ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and BAILEY, A. Sept. 10, 1935, No. 25121. [Class 40 (v)] [Also in Group XXX VI] - A wireless aerial consists of a series of corrugated vanes 15 threaded on to a spindle 14 and separated by distancepieces 16, the whole being clamped together between top and bottom screws 19, 18, the latter taking the lead-in wire to the set. A lateral supporting-member 25 is clamped at 29 between an enlarged portion 11 and a collar 13, and is cut away at 26 to form a spike which can be driven into the wall of a house. By omitting this support, the device can be used as a buried earth-plate, the earthing wire from the wireless set then being taken to the top terminal 19. Specification 446,441 is referred to.
