[Class 78 (i)] A conveyer belt support comprises a base or mounting provided with ball or swivelling roller devices for carrying the belt. In one construction, the belt c Fig. 1, rests on balls d which are caged in socket fittings e attached to a metal bar a. The ends of the bar are supported on arched angle-bar feet b which are fastened down by spikes. The foot at one end may be dispensed with, and a U- shaped stirrup applied to this end which has loops at the ends of the arms through which a wedge may be driven to secure the support to a pit prop. The balls may be arranged in rows and in staggered disposition. In another construction the sockets e are mounted along the crown of a steel pressing n, Fig. 6, of inverted channel or semicircular section. One end of the pressing is flattened and disposed to fit snugly at o against a prop m. A packing piece p placed in a slot at the end is threaded to receive the screw s of a clamp u. The jaw of the clamp is attached to a sleeve t against which bears a shoulder w on the screw. Alternatively a hooked bolt, or a hooked bracket, may be used for fastening the pressing n to a girder prop. In a further construction the balls are replaced by rollers 26, Fig. 9, carried by a swivelling frame 23 which turns about a vertical pin 24.
