Abstract

454,079. Inking-pads. FISH, H. A., 2, King Street East, Toronto, Canada. April 17, 1936, No. 11063. [Class 100 (ii)] An inking-pad A, Fig. 1, having inking surfaces 15 on either side for the same or differently coloured inks, is detachably pivoted to the hinge 6 connecting the sections 1, 2 of the pad container, and may be turned down into a recess 4 in either section to expose either of the inking surfaces at will. In one form, the pad surfaces 15 are secured to separate plates 8, 9 which are secured together and formed on their contacting faces with recesses 10, 11, Fig. 4, to receive a spring wire 13 having inturned ends 14 by which it is detachably pivoted to the end barrels of the hinge 6. In another form, Fig. 6, both inking surfaces are secured to a single plate 20 and are covered with fabric 17 which is secured to the plate by a margin strip 18 which also serves to hold an extensible spring wire 23 by which the pad is pivoted to the hinge of the container.
