Abstract
452,320. Hollow bricks. HANDZELEWICZ, J., 56, Tuszewska Grobla Street, Grudziadz, Poland. April 6, 1935, No. 10746. Convention date, April 6, 1934. [Class 87 (i)] A hollow brick for making ceilings is provided on one side with a stepped dovetailed projection and on the opposite side with a corresponding stepped recess. A channel a may be provided to receive a metal reinforcement. The sides provided with the projection and recess may be inclined to the top and bottom of the brick instead of at right angles thereto. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also various other forms of brick. In one form, the stepped dovetailed projection and recess are inclined to the sides of the brick. In another form, Fig. 3 (Cancelled), a projection 1 and a recess 2 are provided on each of the two opposite sides ; in a modification, the recesses 2 are omitted. Fig. 7 (Cancelled) shows another form in which projections and recesses are formed on two pairs of opposite sides. Fig. 9 (Cancelled) shows another form in which the hollow upper parts of adjacent bricks are connected by paper sleeves. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
