Abstract

A process for the production of cemented articles, for example, shoes, leather belts, and fabrics, consists in rendering one or both of the cement layers adhesive by applying thereto the vapour of an organic solvent and uniting the surfaces by pressure. The cement may comprise a cellulose derivative, a soluble organic resin, or rubber, and acetone may be used as the solvent.
