Abstract

451,865. Curtain - rail runners. FRENCH, G. F., Chester Road Mills, Manchester. Jan. 7, 1935, Nos. 468 and 1448. [Class 52 (v)] In curtain-rail and like runners friction between the rollers and their spindles is reduced by making either the spindle or the opening in the roller of such shapes as afford a plurality of spaced or separated points of contact between the spindle and the roller. Fig. 2 shows a square axle a engaging a round opening bl in the roller b, and Fig. 8 a corrugated opening engaging a round axle. The axle or the opening in the roller may be triangular or hexagonal. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 379,479.
