Abstract

Olefines are polymerized in the presence of an acid ester of an acid of phosphorus such as monocresyl phosphate. The olefines may be dilute. In an example, propylene is passed into monocresyl phosphate at 180--200 DEG C. and 30 atmospheres pressure. Specification 340,513 is referred to.
