Abstract

447,595. Locking nuts; pivots. FINDLAY, R., c /o Findlay Bros., Ltd., Spring- hill Nurseries, Baillieston, Lanarkshire. Oct. 15, 1935, No. 28404. [Classes 65 (ii) and 89 (i)] In shears, scissors, and like oscillatory crossed members held together by a bolt and nut, the nut is locked by a washer frictionally engaging its bearing face and having a tab or projection loosely interlocked with the cross member remote from the nut. The blades 4, 5 are held together by a nut 7 on a bolt 6 non-rotatably mounted in the blade 5 ; a washer 13 is pressed into frictional engagement with the bearing face of the nut 7 by a spring washer 12 and the tab 14 carries a pin 15 fitting a hole 16 in the blade 5.
