447,181. Glass shades &c. for electric lamps. BUNTE, V., BUNTE, C., REMMLER F., and REMMLER, jun., F., (trading as BUNTE & REMMLER METALLWARENFABRIK), 60, Lahnstrasse, Frankfort-on-Main, Germany. Dec. 7, 1935, No. 33983. Convention date, Dec. 8, 1934. [Class 75 (ii)] In a glass shade or bowl for a ceiling, wall, or like electric lamp having a neck provided with an exterior screw thread, the neck is partly or completely sunk in a recess on the upper side of the glass shade or bowl. In the form shown, the width of the annular depression c surrounding the neck a corresponds to at least double the thickness of the wall of the mould plus the depth of the screw thread, so that, after cooling, the parts of the mould forming the screw thread may be moved radially outwards to free the screw thread, the remainder of the shade or bowl being freed from the mould in known manner. The bottom b of the depression may be flat and perpendicular to the screw thread.
