[Class 34 (ii)] The drying of the flesh of mammiferous sea-animals such as whales is facilitated by treating the flesh, preferably in a finelydivided state, with cold or tepid water to extract blood, glue, and like matters, and then drying the flesh. Before separation of the extract from the flesh, the whole may be heated to 70‹ C. or more for a short time.
