[Class 29] [See also Group XXII] A grille or guard comprises spaced vertical bars 10 of channel section individually mounted in and secured by welding to slotted upper and lower flanges 4, 5 of the radiator shell A, the ends of the bars being formed with bent over tongues 12 to engage the shell flanges. The bars are supported at the middle by a cross-bar 11 having staggered tongues 13, 14 entering the channels of the bars and secured thereto, and slotted ends 17, 18 engaging hook members 8, 9 formed on tongues projecting from side flanges of the shell.
