Abstract

442,661. Pontoons. PESCE, S., 36, Via XX Settembre, Genova, Italy. Sept. 23, 1935, No. 26284. [Class 113 (i)] In arrangements for preventing the spread of oil from tankers in harbours &c. the tanker is embraced by a ring of pontoons which are connected by corrugated vertical plates 17 with tubular ends 18 which are threaded on pins carried by brackets arranged at the ends of the pontoons. This arrangement permits the pontoons to move relatively to the plates in a vertical and horizontal direction and the corrugated plates allows a movement towards one another.
