Abstract

A puncture-sealing composition comprises a mixture of starch and borax, or starch, sugar and water, together with mica particles and rubber and cork in pulverulent form. The heat generated in the tyre inner tube liberates the water of crystallization from the borax forming a viscous coating with the starch.
