Abstract

433,607. Handles for kettles &c. GRAY, B. P., 14, Suffolk Street, Birmingham. May 23, 1935, No. 14991. Addition to 413,790. [Class 61 (i)] The kettle &c. holder described in the parent Specification comprising a gripper member for the kettle &c. handle formed of a pair of gripping portions connected integrally together in a resilient manner and a shield to protect the finger from heat arising from the kettle &c., or its content is modified by forming the gripper member of rubber which may be reinforced by embedded wires. In the modification shown the gripping member formed of inverted channel section 10 has the sides of the channel section extended substantially at 11 to form the finger shields or the edges 11 may be further extended to form upright channel sections with the outer sides 12 terminating in flanges 13 ; this form of the device may be made of flexible and nonconducting material such as leather.
