Abstract

427,688. Horticultural frames. WADESON, A., 13, Green Street, and MILLER, J., 191, Wigan Street, both in New Springs, near Wigan. June 16, 1934, No. 17870. [Class 20 (i)] A horticultural frame of inverted V-type is collapsable, and comprises a horizontal top rod 1 and metal strips 2, 3 with hookshaped ends 4, 5, to engage over the rod and to support glass sheets 7 with their upper edges abutting. The upper ends of the strips 3 are bifurcated and receive the upper ends of the strips 2 between the bifurcations to constitute a stop to limit the closing position of the strips when in the covering position. The hook-shaped ends of the strips 2 are screwed to the rod so that the other strips rotate about the rod outwardly for closing. The strips may be replaced by bent wires which engage over the rod and are positioned between collars sprung on to the rod. Specification 417,471 is referred to.
