[Class 80 (iv)] An electrical heating resistance 14 is distributed uniformly around the exterior of the periphery. The resistance wire may be wound in a groove in the rim of the wheel and covered over by insulation. The resistance element may also be separate and is then attached by an annular trough-like case clamped to the under surface of the rim. Specifications 24049/14, 209,062, and 271,345, [all in Class 80 (iv)], are referred to.
