Abstract

422,901. Telegraph receivers. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin.-(Assignees of Hell, R. ; 41, Ihnestrasse, Dahlem, Berlin) April 13, 1933, No. 11208. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, April 18, 1933]. [Class 40 (iii)] A recording-member 17 and a record carrier 2 are vibrated relatively to one another during the reception of a signal. A roller 13, guiding the recording-strip, is mounted on the reed of a loud-speaker unit 16. Spiral ridges on the surface of the rotating drum 17 produce lines on the record strip, which are thickened, when vibration occurs, to reproduce the character transmitted. Alternatively a stylus is moved transversely over the recording strip, Fig. 4 (not shown). In - a code-telegraph receiver, the vibration may be in the direction of movement of the strip, or transverse to it, or perpendicular to the surface, Fig. 1 (not shown); a marking-roller is moistened by an inking roller, Fig. 2 (not shown); or a carbon or colour strip is placed between the stylus and the paper.
