421,414. Multi ply woven fabrics. HINDLE, T., Thornlea, Beardwood Brow, and LORD, S., Brooklands, Preston Old Road, Cherry Tree, both in Blackburn. Sept. 16, 1933, No. 17286. [Class 142 (iv)] [See also Group VIII] A felt for paper-machines has the warps of one or two layers forming the back only of the felt dense and firmly wover by additional and /or coarse, warp yarns to provide longitudinal strength, whilst the warps in one or more layers adjacent the working surface are less dense and more openly woven. Loosely twisted weft yarn may be used for the surface layers or throughout the felt.
