Abstract

420,947. Lubricators. BLISS, J., 30, Cheapside, London. Jan. 27, 1934, No. 2862. [Class 12 (iii)] A lubricator comprises a trough - like distributing compartment 14 fed from a reservoir.10 through an aperture 12 near the lower end of the latter and supplying accumulation chambers 150 having outlets leading to the parts to be lubricated through sight-feed devices 16. The oil level in the compartment 14 is kept at constant level by bird - fountain action, the reservoir 10 which is air-tight having an air-tube (not shown) leading from the outlet passage 220 to the top thereof. Baffles 19, having apertures 18 divide the compartment 14 into intercommunicating parts, the baffles being provided with air release vents 190 leading from each accumulation chamber 150. The valves 28 controlling the flow from the compartments 150 are connected by cranks 29 and link 30, 31, to the handle 26 of the main valve 22 controlling the flow from the reservoir 10 to the compartment 14. All valves 28, 22, can thus be opened or closed together.
