Abstract

417,705. Moving signs. BERKOWITZ, J. I., 56, Via Catalani, Milan, Italy. Feb. 16, 1934, No. 5232. Convention date, May 26, 1933. [Class 3 (i).] In moving signs comprising a plurality of independent display leaves pivoted to end discs onan intermittently rotated shaft, means are provided, intermediate of the end discs, for detachably retaining the leaves in position. The means consist of a disc 6, fixed on the rotating shaft, and provided with peripheral slots 6<1> which receive the pivot wires 5<1> of the leaves. Two concentric rings of studs 6<11>, 6<111> are provided on the disc 6 to hold in position a plurality of spring clips 8, the ends 8<1> of which bear against the pivot wires 5<1> and close the slots 6<1> to prevent the falling out of the wires, their removal being effected by pressing aside the ends 8<1>. A second disc, loose on the rotating shaft is mounted behind the disc 6 and carries similar studs 6<11>, 6<111>, and clips 8, as shown in dotted lines.
