417,560. Sheet-pile walls. DORTMUND-HOERDER HUTTENVEREIN AKT.- GES., Dortmund, Germany. March 3, 1934, No. 6858. Convention date, March 21, 1933. [Class 68 (ii).] A curved sheetpile wall is made up of I-sections, the outer flanges c<1> being connected by locking-joints c, whilst the edges of the inner flanges d are displaced so as not to interfere when making a sharp curve. The Figure shows the flanges d of alternate sections set obliquely; in modifications only the edges of these flanges are thus set, or may have a slight curve. In other forms, the flanges d are formed in a shallow V- or arc-section, and turned inwards or outwards from the wall ; all the inner flanges may be thus made.
