Abstract

In order to ensure protection against tearing during the handling thereof in dispensingdevices, a closet-seat guard of the type having an oval pattern cut therein to provide a central displaceable opening-forming portion, is folded over and over in the same direction successively, as distinguished from a zig-zag type of folding, so that the succeeding fold portions extend around and embrace the previously folded portions with an intact end portion (which is that disposed at the end of the cover which forms the back when in use) as a core, to enclose the same in such a manner that the length of cut in one surface of the fold does not register with the length of the same cut in the adjacent surface of the adjacent fold and that lengths of cut do not interlock with one another, the final intact top portion of the sheet forming one continuos uncut surface for the article. The guard is then folded on a line extending transversely of the previous folds with the intact end portion of the sheet on both the outer sides. Guards so folded may be placed in envelopes, or stacked in quantities.
