Abstract

An element of a thermocouple consists of the carbide of the alloy known under the Registered Trade Mark "Chromel" and consisting of 90 per cent nickel and 10 per cent chromium. An alloy containing 98 per cent nickel and 2 per cent aluminium and known under the Registered Trade Mark "Alumel" is also referred to.
