414,951. Convertible seats for sleeping - cars. COMPAGNIE INTERNATIONALE DES WAGONS-LITS ET DES GRANDS EXPRESS EUROPEENS, 51, Boulevard Clovis, Brussels. Dec. 19, 1933, No. 35730. Convention date, Nov. 13. [Class 52 (ii).] A seat for a sleeping-car, convertible into one or two beds, comprises a movable mattress 1<b>, pivoted at its edge remote from the wall C of the compartment to a frame 3 which is pivoted to the wall, the free edge of the mattress being provided with stops 7 adapted to rest on the arms of the frame. As shown in Fig. 1, the mattress forms the back of the seat 1<a>; in the raised position shown in Fig. 2, the frame is supported upon movable stops 9 on the lateral walls of the compartment and the mattress 1<b> forms an upper bed, the seat forming the lower bed. A single bed is formed as shown in Fig. 3, by folding the mattress 1<b> down on to the seat. 414,951.
