Abstract
410,391. Knitting. WIRTH, E., WIRTH, H., DONNER, D., and LOSCHNER, J., Hartmannsdorf, Chemnitz, Germany. Sept. 27, 1933, No. 26594. Convention date, Sept. 27, 1932. [Class 74 (ii).] Relates to a traversing warp guide attachment for milanese machines of the Raschel, double rib &c. types. Parts other than the guide mechanism, sueh as the frame carrying the warp beam are fixed. Warp guides 18 and auxiliary guides 26 are mounted in groups on two rows of rockers 19, the nibs 23, 24 of which are supported on horizontal rails 10, 11. The rockers are traversed by edge cams acting on locker bars with comb formations embracing the top ends 20 of the rockers. As each rocker in turn reaches the end of the row it is gripped by a combined vertical and rotary movement of grippers 39, 40. The gripper shafts 37 are carried in brackets 38 moving vertically with the comb bar operating rod. Vertically movable slotted guides 57, acting on twisted bars 35 connected by gearing 34, 36 to the shafts 37, impart the rotary movement. The rockers are passed from one side or row of the needles to the other by a system of levers acting on an horizontal shaft which supports the rockers and other parts. During the loopforming operation the rockers are positioned by comb bars acting alternately.
