Abstract

407,432. Joint-making packing. LICHTALLOYS, Ltd., St. Leonard's Road, Willesden Junction, London, and KNIGHT, W. S., 7, Wellacre Road, Kenton, Middlesex. Oct. 12, 1932, No. 28463. [Class 122 (iii).] The joint between the two halves of a gear or like casing is packed by metal strips 7 secured, as by rivets 8, in grooves in the thickened edges of the walls of one half of the casing, and projecting so as to engage corresponding grooves in the other half of the casing. The latter grooves may have flared edges 10 to facilitate engagement.
