[Class 5 (ii).] A method of regulating the temperature conditions in an incubator comprises arranging within the incubator a number of stacks of egg trays and arranging a fan so as to feed air into the incubator, the air being circulated by the fan in horizontal streams between the trays in the stacks into the space between the stacks and then back to the fan for recirculation. The trays may be so arranged that the coldest eggs are always below the hottest. Egg trays 15 are mounted in solid bottom trays 19 carried by members 18 on upright channels 16 secured to the floor and to a false roof 17. The stacks of trays are separated by a space closed at one end by a vertical partition 20 comprising an aperture 21 in which are mounted a fan 22 and electric heating elements 23. Air enters through a damper controlled inlet pipe 24, is moistened by passing through a humidifier 28, and leaves through a damper controlled exit 9. The air inlet and exit openings are operated by a thermostatic control 37. The humidifier 28 is more fully described in Specification 403,099. The trays 15 comprise wire bottoms 38 supporting an open frame 39 adapted to reciprocate within the tray and carrying transverse turning wires or bars 40. The frame 39 in each rear tray is connected to the frame in the corresponding front tray by a link 42 and hook 41.
