Abstract

A composition for securing an electric igniter in a blasting detonator casing comprises Colorado (Montan) wax 70 per cent, talc 20 per cent, and asphaltum or pitch 10 per cent. And a composition for sealing such igniters comprises Colorado (Montan) wax 24.5 per cent, aluminium silicate (Kaolin) 18 per cent, pumice stone (ground) 12.5 per cent, and mineral jelly 7 per cent.
