Convention date, July 25, 1931. Divided on 400,370. [Class 29.] A cooling-body or heat-absorbing member adapted to be mounted on the evaporator of refrigerating apparatus comprises a cast jacket 10, preferably of aluminium, and a container 14 for ice-making drawers etc., located above the axis of the jacket and incorporated therewith during the casting, the jacket and container both being slotted as at 15 to enable the body to be clamped in place by bolts 11, 12. Sheetmetal fins 13, preferably of the same material as the casting, are cast in the material of the jacket, and the edges of the fins at one side 16 are shaped to a curve to accommodate a bottle, &c. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91, comprises also the application of the finned casting to heat delivering elements. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
