Abstract

399,950. Moulding containers from synthetic resin. BRISLEY, J. W., 174, St. John Street, Clerkenwell, London. July 21, 1932, No. 20605. [Class 87 (ii).] In a container such as for cigarettes and moulded from a synthetic resin, two opposite sides 1 are extended upwards beyond the body 2 and are each formed with an undercut recess 3 wherein a lid 4 can be slid or snapped, as desired. The sides are extended in the planes thereof so that no lateral projections are formed. Projections 5 overhang the recesses and both these parts may be rounded or angular. The container is moulded between male and female members and while still of a leathery consistency the female member is removed and the article then stripped from the male member, a pair of arms forcing the top over a flange which forms the recess. The container may be divided into compartments by ribs 6 which do not extend to the top. A spring 7 may be provided in each compartment and is adapted to force out a cigarette as the lid is slid back. Specification 241,063, [Class 18, Boxes &c.], is referred to.
