Abstract

398,625. Printers' composing- appliances. LEES, J. A., 109, Gibbet Street, Halifax, Yorkshire. July 11, 1932, No. 19509. [Class 100 (iii).] Chases.-To facilitate the setting-up in a printers' chase of matter arranged otherwise than at right-angles to the sides of the chase a, the latter is provided with a rotatable disc b capable of being locked in any desired angular position and having a central rectangular opening b<1> within which type &c. may be locked up in the usual way. The disc is provided with recesses b<2> for the reception of the locking means for the type &c. matter, and suitable means are provided to hold the disc b in its adjusted position within the circular opening in the chase, such as by providing spaced recesses round the periphery of the disc within which engage set-screws threaded into the chase.
