Abstract

397,950. Wire strainers. WALKER, F. H., Springhill, Bracknell, Berkshire. April 4, 1932, No. 9637. [Class 45.] A tennis-net wire strainer comprises a lever 19 to which the wire 22 is secured and which is pivotally mounted in one of a number of positions in a recess 14 in the post 11. The lever is held in its straining position by a link 24 which is pivoted in another recess 15 in the post in one of a number of positions and which is secured to the lever 19 by means of a pin 25 engaging two registering apertures of the series 26, 27 in the lever and link respectively. As shown the post socket 12 is inclined and is sufficiently below the ground level to permit the insertion of a cover 13 when the post is removed.
