[Class 132 (ii).] A games board has a partition across the end of the playing area and spaced from the edge rail of the board to form a channel to accommodate playing balls, the partition being displaceable to permit the passage of balls directly from the playing area into the channel at the end of the game, the channel communicating directly with a guideway along which balls are played. The invention is described as applied to a board used in playing a game in which balls projected up a sloping board are deflected into various pens. The partition 12 is pivoted at 14 and is shown displaced in Fig. 3 to allow the balls 17 to run into the channel 10. The partition is held in its displaced position by a catch 19 and has a hollowed part 20 which retains the balls when the board is not in use. In the modification shown in Fig. 4, the partition 12 hinged at 14 is locked in its operative position by a sliding lid 23. In a further modification, the partition may be slidably instead of pivotally mounted. The board may be faced with American cloth and may be provided with the adjustable levelling means described in Specification 397,576. A pair of boards, having a common guideway, may be provided.
