Abstract

396,279. Hair-combs. MARTIN, F. A., Y.M.C.A. Hostel, Swansea. Dec. 23, 1932, No. 36466. [Class 131.] A comb is provided with a cleaning device consisting of an L-shaped member having a narrow limb 5 formed with a plurality of apertures engaging the teeth 1 and a limb 5a provided with a threaded stud 8 slidably engaging in a slot 9 in the back 3 of the comb, the cleaning device being locked in any position throughout its range of movement by a nut 10 on the stud 8. The teeth 1 are secured to the lower horizontal limb of a U-shaped portion 2 formed at the bottom of the back 3, which may be provided with a handle 4. The portion 2 may be filled in wholly or partly with solder or other material to secure the teeth 1.
