394,350. Radiants for gas fires. NICHOLS, F. G., 444, Woolwich Road, Charlton, London. Dec. 21, 1931, No. 35358. [Class 126.] Radiants for gas fires consist of hollow members of such shape as to resemble a piece of coal or coke. The walls, which are preferably thin, may have perforations 2 formed in them. The radiants may be made in a mould shaped from a piece of coal, and are preferably covered with a black glaze before firing. Alternatively they may be finished in dull black, or left the natural colour of the material, or they may be formed of a transparent material. Specification 6700/89, [Class 126, Stoves &c.], is referred to.
