Abstract

A fluid for use in hydraulic brakes &c. consists essentially of hydracetyl acetone and castor oil. Preferably it contains 40-60 per cent by weight of hydracetyl acetone, and 0,05-0,5 per cent of non-volatile alkali, e.g. caustic soda or potash. Specification 285,144, [Class 91, Oils &c.], and the prior use of castor oil and diacetone alcohol are referred to.
