Abstract
393,162. Treating fabrics ; perforating-machines. UNITED AFRICA CO., Ltd., Unilever House, Blackfriars, London, and ELLIOTT, A., 366, Mauldeth Road West, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester. Oct. 13, 1932, No. 28523. [Classes 31 (ii) and 42 (i).] Holes or holes and depressions forming letters, designs, &c., are made in a fabric by means of rollers 2, 3, one of which carries pegs &c. 17 and the other is recessed as at 18, the threads being either broken or pushed aside, but no material removed. The material may then be dyed. According to the Provisional Specification, the recessed roller may be replaced by a rubber or other resilient roller, and dies may be used instead of rollers.
