392,118. Roofing. KRATOCHVIL, R., 1, KomenskÚho Strasse, Prerov, Czecho- Slovakia. Dec. 22, 1932, No. 36317. [Class 20 (iv).] A spacing and fastening clip for overlapping, asbestos-cement and like roofing tiles comprises an upright metal structure having shoulders 2, 3 for supporting two overlapping sets of tiles in spaced relation and a top terminal portion comprising one or more fastening members 4 adapted to be folded over the uppermost tile 10. The clip, which is adapted to rest on a lower tile 8 as shown in Fig. 18, is provided with two shoulders 2 for supporting one set of tiles 6, 7 and two shoulders 3 for supporting the uppermost tile 10. The fastening members 4 are adapted to pass through an aperture in the uppermost tile and are then folded over this tile. The clip may be formed by bending a metal blank to the shape shown in Fig. 1, and the base 1 of this clip may be flat, arched or corrugated. The clip may also be formed by bending to any of the shapes shown in Figs. 6, 7, 8 and 18. Alternatively, the shoulders 2, 3, and the fastening members 4 may be formed by stamping out tongues from a metal plate as shown in Figs. 11 and 13. The shoulders 2 and 3 may also be formed by the stepped side edges of a metal plate as shown in Fig. 15. The clip may also be formed of wire.
