Abstract

391,052. Photographic diazotype processes. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, 13D, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. Nov. 3, 1932, No. 31026. Convention date, Nov. 10, 1931. [Class 98 (ii).] Light-sensitive layers of the type described in Specification 391,970 are applied to a carrier, such as paper, of which the moisture content is less than 1 per cent. The layers may be dried by enclosing them in a vessel with a powerful drying-agent, such as phosphorus pentoxide, or in an exhausted vessel. Alternatively, the drying may be effected by a flow of dry gas, such as nitrogen or air, the drying of which is accomplished by passing the gas over a drying agent, e.g. phosphorus pentoxide, or by freezing out the moisture at a very low temperature. The light-sensitive material may be stored in hermetically sealed containers, e.g. of glass or metal, which have been dried internally, and may be wrapped in paper which has been dried in a similar manner to the layers. A drying agent may be included in the hermetically sealed packages.
