[Class 118 (i).] Indicators for displaying variable information comprise striplike members 4 adapted to carry a plurality of indicating elements 8 at notches 7 therein. The elements 8, Fig. 3, are perforated at 9 and slotted at 10, 11, being located on the members 4 by a sliding and then a rotating movement. Alternatively, the elements 8 may be carried by sleeves adapted to slide along the members 4. The latter are forked at one end 5, 6 to releasably engage slots 3 in a baseboard 1, suitably supported by a frame 2, and which may carry other indicating means 12 secured by tongues 13 to two slots 3, the actual display being on the means 12 or on a card slid therein. The end 5, 6 of a member 4 may be arranged differently, for example, the fork portion 6 may be parallel to the portion 5 to form resilient jaw-like portions, the lower parts of the apertures 3 being curved forwardly to facilitate engagement of the members 4. The indicating elements 8 may carry detachable indicating elements 14 secured thereto by spring clips. The board 1 may comprise a number of sections held in position by posts or other reinforcing means from the base 2. A number of indicators may be carried by a standard and may form " leaves " rotatable about a suitably disposed pivot, the rear surfaces of the indicators being closed in. The indicators may be combined with covers, for example, a roller or other blind device, to prevent unauthorized inspection thereof.
