Abstract

387,659. Moulding closure caps &c. from synthetic resins. BOONTON MOLDING CO., Boonton, New Jersey, U.S.A. May 5, 1931, No. 13235. Convention date, May 5, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts.] [Class 87 (ii).] Articles such as closure caps are moulded from phenolic condensation products, the articles having a recess 14 for a cork &c. liner and screw threads 12, and being removed from the die when set but before loss of resilience. The dies 30 are carried by a steam-heated platen 32 and pass through a stripper plate 40, into moulds 20 seated in a second steam-heated platen 22. After moulding, the platens are separated, the articles remaining on the dies 30 till stripped by the plate 40 coming under the control of the pins 52.
