Abstract

384,377. Buffers for railway wagons. STAFFORD, J., Scawthorpe House, Woodlands, Doncaster. Sept. 12, 1931, No. 25626. [Class 103 (v).] A buffer for colliery corves and like wagons comprises a solid block 2 of wood or similar material adapted to slide in a guide or casing l against the action of one or more elastic rings 4 of rubber or rubber and steel embracing a projection 3 on the block 2, a bolt, cotter or the like 6 being passed through the casing and block, one of which is slotted, to prevent complete withdrawal of the block. Specifications 5210/84, [Class 103, Railway &c. vehicles], and 331,421, [Class 103 (v), Railway &c. vehicles, Draught &c. appliances for], are referred to.
