383,090. Delivering measured quantities of liquid. SHAW, G. W., 11, St. James's Road, Gravesend, Kent, and THOMPSON, G., Newlands, Berwick Gardens, Little Sutton, Cheshire. Dec. 19, 1931, No. 35157. [Class 106 (v).] One or more buckets a fixed rigidly to one or more arms b arranged to rotate or oscillate on a shaft care passed through liquid in a vat e to a position above the liquid and discharge through narrow bore pipes f, independent of the arms b, fitted to each bucket. The pipes f discharge into a tun dish g at the side of the vat and the shaft c may be driven through variable speed gear to vary the quantity delivered. The inner sides of the buckets are extended to prevent spilling and may be formed with a lip as shown in Fig. 5. To adjust the capacity of the buckets they may be made telescopic, one part screwing upon the other, or bodies q, Fig. 5, may be inserted over a peg p and held in place by a rubber ring r. Counting mechanism may be provided.
